To qualify for state and federal government support, there is a specific process Brewerton must follow. The first step is the development of a Revitalization Strategy, which should be complete by the end of the year.
It is critical that we are very deliberate in the way we do this. Following proper process enables Brewerton to apply for further grants down the road. Once the Revitalization Strategy is completed, we can move ahead into more aggressive design and engineering phases, all the while working with state and federal government representatives to secure further grant funding. While some physical improvements can happen as early as next year, the overall planning process generally takes between 2-3 years.
